Spent some time working on bangor today. The site itself is nothing spectacular, but everything that happened in order for it to come into existence is. A few months ago, @garrettwilkin, @jeffbangor, Sean Gambrel, and I sat down and talked about ways to get some of the City of Bangor’s spatial data online. The data is public, but access wasn’t as frictionless as it could have been. Github seemed like a good way to alleviate that. Thanks to Sean & Jeff, the Maine Hacker Club is now curating bangor.
Looking forward to seeing a someone develop a project with the data. If you do, please, keep me informed!
